Faith in Action: Elder Outreach holds an auction fundraiser every August. The auction is our largest event of the year. All our care recipients, volunteers, partners, and other community members and businesses are invited to attend. All proceeds from the auction are used to fund Faith in Action: Elder Outreach.
Sponsoring the auction or donating an item to our auction is an effective way to reach people who are leaders in our community and want to make a difference in the lives of others. Sponsorships and donations are tax-deductible; they also help Faith in Action raise money and continue providing assistance to older adults in our community. If you would like more information about how to support or attend this annual event, please contact our office.
On August 29, 2009, Faith in Action held their annual auction fundraiser at the Greenbrier Golf & Country Club. The theme for 2009 was “A Night in the Big Easy” and featured New Orleans inspired foods catered by Greenbrier, Mardi Gras décor, and live music by The Swells Brass Band. Former UK basketball player, Cameron Mills, emceed the evening, and Curt Sharff served as our guest auctioneer. There were both live and silent auctions with nearly 100 items to bid on for our auction guests. At the end of the evening, over $8,000 was raised for Faith in Action: Elder Outeach.
